BUNCO ON WEDNESDAY
The weather forecast is great, so I am hoping we will have no issues with Bunco
this Wednesday. Come for the all-school Mass, and then stay to play this popular
dice game! We will teach those who do not know how to play! Stay for lunch…cheeseburgers
and fries for $3.00 for adults!
Mass is at 8:15, and Bunco will follow, in the gym, beginning at about 9:00 or
whenever Mass is over. Everyone needs a partner, so if your child will not have
one, we will pair them up with older students or extra adults who are here. We
look forward to seeing you!!!
HARLEY MOTORCYCLE MEETING
A core group of people who were on the committee last year are considering the
Harley ride/raffle, again, this year. We feel we know better what to expect,
we hope more people would attend, and we would use the money we raised for computers.
(Ours were new in 2005, and they are already having some issues…) We are
meeting this Thursday, February 2nd, here at school, at 6:30, to determine if
we have enough people willing to help. If you can commit to monthly meetings
and would like to help us out, we would love to have you! We will need a lot
of help to make this happen, again!
If you’re interested in helping, but not being a part of the committee,
also let me know! The more who get involved, the less there is for everyone to
do.
PAUL GASSER TO SPEAK
Please see the attached flyer about Paul Gasser who will be speaking at the Dodgeville
Elementary School on Wednesday night. Babysitting is provided if you call the
district number, 935-3307, and then x, 2000. There will be two sessions, over
two nights, directed at parents dealing with children. Many of the staff have
attended his workshops, and he is highly recommended. I do not believe there
is any cost!
GREAT TURN-OUT!!
We were happy to see so many people at the dance on Friday night! I’d like
to extend a special thanks to our DJ for the evening, Pat Mettlach. He had help
from his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Hannah, but he was kind enough to find
the songs that were appropriate to the theme. I hope everyone had a good time!
The pictures are back and the students should have them. Thanks to Matt Murn
for taking the pictures and Sarah Stoughton for making sure they were printed
and back to us, today! Thanks, also, to Mrs. McGraw and the 8th graders for the
great job they did with the designs!!!
I’d also like to thank the St. Joe Advocates for all their help as well
as the other parents who signed up to work in the concessions. We could not have
done this without your help!
SCRIP DISTRIBUTION
We will print the first SCRIP distribution report this week. I am excited to
see how much people have earned in only one month. We purchased $28,000 of SCRIP
this month…so our amounts have definitely increased! Thanks to all who
are giving it a chance and finding it is only a matter of planning…it does
NOT require spending extra money!!!!!
THANKS!!!
Thanks to all who returned the OUTSTANDING family projects for the Church lobby!
They were better than we could have imagined! And, it was obvious, that a LOT
of work was put into them! Thanks so much for adding your creativity to Catholic
Schools’ Week!
3rd/4th BASKETBALL HAS ENDED
Thanks to all the parents and students who participated in the 3rd and 4th grade
Basketball program, especially to Brian Bockhop, Ev Schmelzer, and Kathryn Heimerl
for coordinating the Saturday practices! I am sure we will have some students
with good basketball skills for next year!
VALENTINES TO NURSING HOMES
Due to a scheduling issue, we will be delivering the Valentines to the nursing
